Privacy policy
The short version: your PDF and spreadsheet never leave your browser. We don't store your files, see your data, or require an account. Here's the full detail.
Last updated July 2026.
What we collect
If you contact us via the contact form, we store your name, email address, and message so we can reply. That data is stored in a database we control and is not shared with third parties. We also collect basic analytics data (page views, country, browser) described below.
What we do NOT collect: your files
Your PDF and your spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) are never uploaded to any server. All processing happens 100% client-side, inside your browser, using JavaScript running on your own machine. We have no technical means to access your files, and no file storage of any kind. You can verify this by opening your browser's network tab while using the tool: you'll see no file upload requests.
This applies to every piece of data in your spreadsheet: names, salaries, addresses, medical information, or anything else. It stays on your device.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (which pages are visited, how long people stay, what country they're in). In the EEA and UK, Google Analytics only loads after you give consent via the cookie banner. If you decline consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. Outside the EEA/UK, Google Analytics may load without a separate consent prompt, but you can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Ads
The site shows display ads to support free access to the tool. Ad providers may use cookies to serve relevant ads. In the EEA and UK, ad cookies are only set after consent. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your ad network's opt-out page (for Google: adssettings.google.com) or by using a browser with an ad blocker.
Contact form data
When you submit the contact form, we store your name, email address, and message. We use this data only to respond to your message. We don't add you to a mailing list, sell your email, or share it with anyone. You can ask us to delete your contact record at any time by emailing us from the same address.
Your rights
If you're in the EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you (which is only contact form submissions, if you've used the form). To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form or email us directly. We'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you've seen the updated policy. We won't introduce file uploads or server-side processing without making that explicit and prominent.
